Our History
Thumb-Chum was born out of necessity by a female law enforcement officer with decades of on-the-job experience, needing to handle, train, and qualify with firearms. During the firearms qualification process, where gun loaders aren't used, she, along with many of her fellow officers, frequently encountered significant thumb pain and injuries due to the repetitive action of loading gun magazines to their full capacity. The more you load, the more your thumb hurts. The more your thumb hurts, the harder it becomes to load. The cycle creates a frustrating situation where the repetitive act of loading not only causes pain and injury but also makes it more difficult to focus on the other tasks at hand. Recognizing the need for a solution, and the idea of Thumb-Chum in her head, a team was created leading to the establishment of Thumb-Chum LLC in 2023, a proud woman-owned small business.

Thumb-Chum isn't a gadget; it's a second skin designed to protect your universal gun loader- your thumb. Thumb-Chum can be worn on one or both thumbs, depending on your preferred gun magazine loading style. Thumb-Chum comes in different sizes and can be gently stretched to achieve a personal fit. Whether loading or unloading gun magazines, Thumb-Chum provides a convenient and efficient way to protect your thumb while handling the task.
